probably 50/50..baby out with the bath water </div></div>...it is funny that you would say this because I seem to remember that your constant advice...for me to hold my tongue, especially when certain names were mentioned in connection with certain events.

This is environment in which we operate on this and let's say all public Fora. This Board has lost many members precisely because there are favourites on this Board. There are persons and or items that you cannot take issue with, there is the culture of revenge and the utility of dumbing down that is part of the whole Boardite experience.
So yes, I am pretty sure it works out 50/50, less constructive discussions and more harmonious interactions.... or more precisely lack of interactions.

1 a lie
2 that is going on for four years
3 that is was used as an answer for every question

In my mind the only reason you even commented on it was because the member was a favourite of yours which it really what I am trying to get at. Having seen this Board go from a place where you could safely have a convo to on many issues, on many levels will thousands of individual members participating to a place where the usual suspects reign on the usual suspects topics.... I have to say I prefer option #1.

You could just see the maneuverings over time where certain individuals (The same ones who were most intolerant of individuals expressing themselves.) muscled their way in positions of power and you could forecast with great certainty the outcome.

oh please TG..yu and Dahjah (i assume dats who ur speaking of0 have had some feud going on for donkey yrs...waay before I joined the board.. and i do recall once telling you once to let it go..(i would not call it constant)but den again I've told him to tap stirring tings up..so wha?

</div></div>.... maybe I should have bit my tongue.... Please overstand, He and I had no feud going.
He made up the whole thing and used it as a response to everything I said on the Board...it was a simple as that.

But again it not the specifics of that incident I wanted to highlight...just that there is an enabling environment for this kind of stuff where myths and lies about particular members are allowed to flow freely while potentially good discussions are killed off simply because it was raised by the unfavoured.
