My response refers to the progress made from the time frame of Garvey and his comment, and how different things are today. Would Garvey make the same comment today given the circumstances that a black man is the president of the United States. Could Garvey even fathom such a thought, given the time frame in which he lived?
Think about it, a black man with a white mother sitting in the whitehouse?

garvey was a very wise man...i think he could have visioned this & might have even said it (i will research this) but he would most likely not be swayed by it...garvey was not about assimilating into the gov't or becoming the head of it...he was interested in separation from the beast in order to build your own
