Angelina Jolie says that being the mum of a multicultural family is difficult at times - especially when shopping for Barbies.

The mum-of-six - whose adopted daughter Zahara is from Ethiopia - says that sometimes the smallest things like toys are the hardest to tackle.

Angelina says, "I’ve learnt a great deal, but there are lots of things I don’t know.

"I’d just love to sit around with other moms and ask questions about everything."

She adds, "Like when Zahara, who’s Ethiopian, wants her hair to look like mine – because it won’t.

"I’ve looked for a Barbie that’s African, but the African Barbie has straight hair."

see Ms Jolie need fi stop believe har own hype an go read couple books...Ethiopians do come wid straight hair and aquiline features...so her adoptee might not be one who has the naturally straight hair, and i applaud har fi want a doll dat no ha straight hair...BUT she a show har own stereotyping in not knowing the history of Ethiopian ethnicity....FEH...tell u how dem wi always no go di whole length, juss pawt way like seh nutten no come before dem decide fi tek an interest...FEH

Well Blu you think the child would be better off in her native country or with Angie? I doubt the type of hair a dolly has is not gonna have to much effect on her well-being. Lawd God!

Not all Ethiopians do.
Some do and some don't. Especially in Addis Ababa you get a mix.
I don't know about country, caw mi only stay in town.

It is amazing how many people on this site miss the point EVERYTIME. They are so busy trying to disagree with the topic starters that they can't just take the little time necessary to COMPREHEND.

Anyway, I think there is a nice mix of black people everywhere, so the over-rated gyal is only trying to use one of her over-rated moments to self-promote. Why didn't she just ask her &quot;friend&quot; Jada Pickett?

There are good parents and there are bad parents. You can have good poor parents and bad rich parents or vice versa. Only cause Angie's got money, doensn't mean she's a good parent. And only because Zahara was born in Ethiopia, doesn't mean a rich Ethiopian couple would not have adopted her. She might have been better off in her native country, but then again she might be better off with Angie.

It's something that Zahara can post about when she's older and looks back on her childhood with the rich and famous.
