Another Negril West End businessman murdered

The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Wenzil Heron, also called 'Dougworth' who lived in the Top Little section of Little London, Westmoreland.


Reports are that about 8:20 pm Heron went to collect money from the day's sales at a Supreme Ventures betting shop in West End when he was pounced upon by unknown assailants who opened fire hitting him. The assailants then rode off on motorcycles with an undetermined sum of money.<


Heron died on the spot.


Heron's killing comes swiftly on the heels of Tuesday night's killing of another businessman in the West End.


The police are still probing the murder of 51-year-old Colin St Patrick Lynch, operator of Out of Town Pastry and Bakery in the West End of Negril. Lynch was gunned down by unknown assailants who also rode motorcycles.

Again, so sad to hear that that little piece of paradise is no longer free of the fear that grips other parts of the isalnd.

I know people who recently sold their businesses in the west end and left, I guess they could sense it was only a matter of time until this shyte started.

As I have said before Jamaicans peple are no more wicked than other folks in the world. The only wicked thing about us, is those who for years (using this Bulletin Board as an example), who thought that Jamaica was any kind of paradise, exempt from murder, torture and just general wickedness.

Icall: Sammy Plant Piece a Corn Dung A Gully? Maybe it time to study those old time proverbs to see where came from and how to solve it? Every time I see these Posts on the Board and in a forum such as this was, I can't help smiling to myself, wondering, where are those that used to block discussions about crime and violence in Jamaica? Where are the ones who used to resort to flag waving and banning of posters who dare to post topics about anything that was not so-called good about Jamaica?

lurking n reading what is posted…..to think Negril was a hamlet n then purportedly, the hippies n draft dodgers of the 60s "DISCOVERED" it n the Jamaica Gold n today is what u have….:sigh:….never forget the day in 1990 , i was walking along the beach in Negril n this white chick, strung out on what i knew could not be ganja, approached me n tried to sell me a bag of Blue Mountain Coffee….talk about a turnabout…..

Those were the days when I was told there is no need for burgular bars in Jamaica that they were fashion statements, that the sink communities were safe and dons were leaders....
