Well, Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild (de whatever), wife of one Sir Evelyn Rothschild, was furious when her horse (HRC) lossed in the dem primaries. She switched sides and backed the opponent of the victorious dem, but even then she lossed - again. Waning influence? Or was the Rothschild influence vastly exagerated in the first place? Then again, HRC will land a plum position in the new administration? Did they (you know who) finally got to him?

See, we have to sort out the facts from the wild right-wing conspiracies. Yes there are conspiracies by powerful interests, and then some things have a pretty easy explanation. Not all events are driven by 'shadowy figures' like international bankers and 'trilateralists.'

The Rothschilds are famous for backing both sides - they never lose.
During the American War of Independence, one brother financed the British while another backed the Americans.

They also financed the French Revolution and gained control of the Bank of England by claiming Britain was losing the Battle of Waterloo. They bought all government stocks because they were going cheap, then their value went through the roof when everyone realised Britain actually WON at Waterloo.

The Rothschilds had an efficient intelligence network back then as well.
