I don't know what to think...Just so many questions? On one had I feel bad that her phone was hacked but what about those selfies. I must have been meant for someone. Why take a photo if you don't expect it to eventually surface. What do you think

Lekeshia Jones, 34, claims she was wrongfully fired after her class of 14-year-old students at Myers Middle School in Savannah hacked into her cell phone and posted her naked pictures online. The teacher is suing the school board and plans to press charges against the teens who swiped the pictures.



A Georgia teacher is suing her local school board and a group of 14-year-old students who she says hacked into her cell phone, swiped several naked selfies and posted them online.
Lekeshia Jones, 34, said she was wrongfully fired after the group of students secretly accessed her phone during a business club meeting at Myers Middle School in Savannah.
The teenage girls found the teacher’s stash of naked selfies before taking pictures of them to send to friends and post online, WTOC-TV reported.
But Jones didn’t know what happened until a month later, when one of the girls confessed to the prank.
“I feel like I was the victim,” Jones told the news station.

“Like I had been violated.”

The students hacked her personal phone (how did they get it?) and took advantage of her. She is allowed to have a personal life and if she wants to take sexy pictures for someone that is her business. Of course lesson learned is to take & send & delete off phone ..

Just saw another report that the school authorities claim that the teacher loaned a student the phone as he needed to call a parent. Does that change things.

that is like inviting somebody to your house and dem go thru yuh things and mek yuh business public.

HOWEVER, how is it hacking, if she gave the kids her password ?? (as being reported )

i am sure most if not all schools have policies regarding porn/inappropriate use of internet blocked/x rated materials etc with regards to technology on school property. ie it is not allowed on school property.

same thing probably applies to your phone if you are going to ALLOW students to USE your phone

why weren't the students using the phone in the school office ?

then she got reassigned to another school and STILL leff her phone unattended (so mi read somewhere else)

school also said that instead of reporting the incident to them, she took it upon herself to track down the kids herself

Not unusual at all at the high school level in today's environment. The student does not lose time going to the office to make the call.

One of those damned if you do and damned if you don't situations. Damned if she didn't allow the students to 'borrow' her phone, and damned that she *did* allow the student(s) to use it. I hope the student or students get more than a slap on the wrist, but chances of that happening are next to nil, and the teacher has to suffer.

Edit: Here is where she may win at least part of her case....“There is nothing in the policy about what you can or cannot have in your phone.”
