It is official. The ruling New Labour Party in the UK is institutionally racist.

In his November 8, 2008 interview with The Times, Trevor Philips, the Equalities and Human Rights Commission Chairman, no less, declared, "Barack Obama would never have been elected Prime Minister in this country (UK) because of 'institutional racism' in the (New) Labour Party."

And if Barack Obama's historic election as US president has redeemed the USA, that same event has left the UK, under New Labour, the last fortress of institutional racism. Where is the evidence?

All white people racist? Come on Blu..the US is a much larger country, with a much larger black population. Whilst opportunities do exist in the UK, they're much more limited here, than the US.

I believe the US is far, far more racist than Britain.
It has taken what, 400 years for the US to elect a 'black' president. Black people have only been in the UK (in vast numbers) for 60 years - give it time.

And it's still a big deal for a black man to be with a white woman in the US (Hollywood didn't want to cast a white woman opposite Will Smith in Hitch, so they went for a Latina) no problem with that here.

Obama win na mean nothing. especially how everybody making such a big tralala like say it is a miracle. that a black person is president should be a normal thing. but no, jesus move over the messiah de ya, obama. It actually proves how racist the US really is.

When me equate that to an influx of foreigners on my island should one of them just one day jump up go run for prime minister - No Way!

America claimed to have open-for-all but still...

I would say proof of racial tolerance is when a black woman/man is married into that royal family

I know a white man who ONLY goes out with black women (he even went out wih one of my sisters).
Is he racist against whites?

Plenty a people only cry racism when they feel some negative effect.

To love a person because of their race is the same racism as hating them because of it.

If I love a black person like me just because that person is black is also expressing racism.

Pardon me for interrupting, but the answer to your question, is definately yes.

But there's a broader question? How many people would have been afforded
the same opportunities in Jamaica, that they've received abroad?
