interest rates will go. Has anyone taken advantage of the lower rates to refinance? man..I'm tempted..torn between waiting and jumping in they're talking about rates going down to 4.5 (unfortunately not for refi )

fed rate goin to fall to 0.5% and yet banks no longer passing it along to consumers ..the bank mortgage rate should be about 2.5%

up until a couple years ago the bank prime rates moved almost in lock step with the fed prime rates...the bank rate was usually about fed prime plus 2%. And based on that the bes bank customers could get a mortgage rate at prime or just below prime.

so the fed meeting this week and is expected to lower the rate to 0.5% ..so why is the bank rate still 3.5% higher?

Me did hear dat tings gone outta control, but dat is just rediculous.

Me so glad me did refi when dem was giving away money. But teng god me did have di good mind fi tek a very low rate wid a conventional fixed term loan.

Tells you one thing the banks don't even trust banks no more. The Fed has become the Piggy Bank, the first and last refuge.

thats why they should have been wrapping up insolvent banks from long time instead of tryin to prop them up...until that happens nobody is goin to trust anybody else.

by the time u have the 40% ie come in like u can just buy a place cash &amp; rent it out and save a next 40% for the place u really want

RichD there is a difference to the General Public of a bank that is still open in their town or village and ones that are barred shut.
All US Major Banks are in trouble to start closing banks is a serious risk to the entire country.

</div></div>Th seem reasonable because yo are using common sense to analyse ir. Just lets assume that 90% of the banks in the country is insolvent and are closed by the Feds.
What would happen to all the businesses that depend on li8nes of credit to operate?
Allright,you may want to close those businesses too,because they will also become insolvent. The fact that they employ the majoroty of workers and supply much of the rawx materials that other bisinesses rely on to do business. How better would thatsenariomake the economy??
