bout 5 months later wi move from Papine to Port Antonio.

i must have been around two or so i used to live with my dads mom/mi granny and my aunt in the country, and i remeber one day my aunt was telling me not to go in the swing else i'm gonna fall well me some how end up inna di swing when she nah look and one drop me drop lick me head back,

i remember me and me granny was going somwhere on the bus and she got a stroke being young i didnt know what it was and i was trying to put my hand inna her pocket to take out her money to pay the ducta and she keep on tellin me no, dem did haffi carry har go docta and me nuh memba how me reach home but i guess smaddy carry me home

i also remember when i was with my granny one day and ice fell from the sky..

...and I remember being moved from our house to the house across the street because,nestled in the side of the mountain, the winds were not as fierce for them. Our house overlooked the valley so we weren't as safe.
Thank goodness, we were spared and we moved back home after the storm passed.

Me memba dat too Sandra one of my first memories. Was in St. Thomas visiting my Aunt. Zinc flew off houses and decapitated a man. After de hurricane me father come and get me and take me back to St. Bess. I can still remember walking in the gushing water with my big sister.

Its funny how we can remember so far back, but most stuff inbetween wi figet.

Makes you wonder how the brain file stuff

mi do remember pockets a stuff.
Like holding mi fuss gun.. It was a .45 .
Mi father who worked wid purity as a bread sales and delivery man also had a likkle grocery shop dun a mountain view ave. And him always have friends from all walks a life a come over. Police/ thief/ indian chief
And when dem come, him always a send mi fi di rum and box a milk and ice. .. oh and di glass dem.
Suh him had some police friends over .. mi was bout 3 and dem inna di back yard a drink up.
mi fada call mi and mi likkle brother (1+) fi show off how wi can cuss badwud already. (we was the &quot;attraction &quot; a di shop.. The Badwud cussing pickney dem )
Suh wi start cuss the bad wud fi dem.. Like wi would sey &quot;Unno bomboklar.....&quot; and bex.. and dem would laugh.. *aie sah*
Den wan call mi, teck out him gun, unload it and gimi fi hold.
Still remember the smell a di gun to dis day..

As fi crib days.. thats vague. mi vaguely remember wan woman wid Souls afro hair and long black floral dress as kiss mi pon mi cheeks inna di crib once.. but thats more like a figment dan a memory.
Mi know a nuh mi madda, cause she have straight hair, but when mi look back at dem wedding album, mi see a woman inna dem pic who mi suspect a she.
