to the rock-carved church complex at lalibella;
came on last night on history channel;

seeing thousand+ year-old portrait of the black madonna holding black baby jesus was priceless;

surprised they showed it but glad they did...

also acknowledged that the knights templar (mason forefathers) may have gone to lalibella searching for the ark of the covenant which ethiopians say still resides in ethiopia...
