So far in all or most of the Elections conducted worldwide since the Y2K there have been various problems. The thing to remember is that the USA is federation made up of States each State has it own rules for conducting a ballot and for entertaining challenges.
There are challenges and that is what is holding the process up. The good thing is that Minnesota has one of the most liberal rules for determining the intent of the voter, so Democracy with a small "d" is in effect. The ballots are being counted, the challenges are being heard all in a peaceful manner, you can't ask for anything else except maybe for a seamless rule across all States, which is not going to happen in this lifetime.
In Greece the home of the word Democracy the Citizens are out in the Streets mainly led by fractions that are against Government in any form.... I would think that if the folks in Minnesota were to be given a choice they would keep what they have and pass on the Greek Solution.
