I was trying to tell Saki that Dreadlocks was not invented in the Caribbean and that the whole Rastafarian concept with weed and dreadlocks had more to with the man described as the First Rasta who was Indian. Look it up search for Pinnacle Settlement and the First Rasta and you will see why.

It was late after that it was found out that Dreadlocked Tribesmen were also part of Ethiopia ancient history.

You kept saying why did they use an African American Hairstyle, then you said it would be the same if they used a Caribbean Hairstyle.
I said Dreadlocks is not a Caribbean Hairstyle and you again come forward with some other argument so I just left because I knew I was going to be subjected to another Saki expertise. Having been a Rastafarian myself, born in Jamaican became a Rastafarian before it was about weed and music I knew what he connection was. Since I have gone of it on this board 50 times already it really never made sense to finish the convo.
I did not know you mentioned Indians but I am talking about East Indian and East Indian Rituals not Indians found in the West that were already wiped off the face of Jamaica before the British captured it and could not have influenced Jamaican Rastafarians where as weed, religion and deportment is concerned.

Do what I advise and look up the Pinnacle and the man described as the first Rasta. Even though he himself was not a dreadlocks.

Keep your advice to youself. See the works of Diop for higher insight. A when all this post up start? You haven't been able to define who is a rastafarian. Now there is some first Rasta. And even more some one is &quot;a dreadlocks&quot;. So even what dreadlocks is, you don't know. How then will you know to say anything about its origin?

There is a problem of perception on this board and I try not to inject my personal self into every post as some do. Sometimes you have to draw brakes and present your experience(s).
I have very little education and generally I am no expert at anything, but one thing I am 100% knowledgeable about <span style="font-style: italic">(at least on this Board)</span> is what Rastafari was between the late 60s and the early 80s.

</div></div>....LOL I remember when I was growing up there was a man in our community called Suki and there was also a Woman called Suki there were not related but both of them knew the ins and out of the Race Horse business. Later on I learned that there was a Jockey at the track called Suki and I think that is where they got the name.
