So I am searching the web and entertaining the idea of booking a flight out of Toronto for tomorrow (Sunday) to Mo Bay.

Price of direct flight is $145.00 NOT BAD!!!!

In what world (except Canada ) does anything you purchase cost less than the taxes?

that is typical on airlines like Spirit south of you Milo

we did book a $9 fare go MoBay one year and the ticket ending up being $114 r/t .. needless to say we neva did care cause dat was cheap enough anyway

You know Kia, even if the tax was the same ($145.00 and $145.00) I could relate but that is just so wrong!

So what, they would rather put planes in the air that are partially empty than to drop the tax a bit and fill them up?

is AC u travelling on ... look again if u no see one big fuel surcharge ... westjet no bother with that so their additional fees are like $30-45 more on one way ...

Milo, I think the tax on flights is standard and not based on a percentage of what the ticket costs. The taxes &amp; fees I've run into generally run around $102.00usd, no matter how much I pay for the ticket. Especially if it's international.

Try researching a more expensive fare and check the tax.

it seems to be a trend bredren.. Check Sunwing for example. Flight from Toronto to Miami $37.
Tax $206.00
