Woman accused of child neglect to go to court

Nicolette Letford, 19, the woman who <span style="font-weight: bold">left her two-year-old daughter tied up in an abandoned building so she could attend the popular Sting Stage show</span>, is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
Miss Letford was charged last week with cruelty to a child under the Child Care and Protection Act by detectives from the Denham Town Police Station.
Miss Letford was taken into custody on Friday December 26 after <span style="font-weight: bold">her infant daughter was found tied up with elastic bands in the old animal hospital off Spanish Town Road</span>.
She reportedly left the child in the abandoned building to make arrangements to attend the stage show.
A woman on her way from Church along Spanish Town Road heard a child crying near the building and alerted the police.
<span style="font-weight: bold">Miss Letford was arrested while at her hairdress</span>er.
The 19-year-old mother faces a maximum fine of $1 million and five years in prison if convicted.
