After over 11 years, I was let go this morning. Well my entire department along with several sales people.

I can honestly say that I am very happy. I was not looking forward to another quarter end.

Compray the severance package was worth your 11 years?

Were you expecting it

I know for many people this is a good thing especially when they are looking forward to doing something else and this sometimes gives them the opportunity ... as Tanya said if you are happy then ... I'm happy for you too.

RichD, my boss said I'm the only one who reacted in such a positive manner. I've been hanging on for years in hopes that they would give me severance. It was a tough job.
