so wiki sent me down a road of other famous singers who had committed suicide.

Anybody remember the singing nun? Dominique? 1963....i recall this from my early catholic school days.

ennways....did you know she committed suicide?

No but I didn't know she offed herself...how sad, I remember her song was one of the staples of the school sing song program.

dang, she a di lass person mi expeck fi commit suicide. doesnt' she go to hell for that or summat? that Dominique song was massive though, so maybe she couldn't hangle the fame.

Wow, I remember this as if it was yesterday.

My hubby and I had tickets to see her at the Apollo that night...she killed herself in some hotel downtown, I think. :-(

I still have the poster which advertised the concert. I shamelessly ripped it from the fence next to the Apollo (right where they usually take pictures with the velvet celebrity background on Amateur Night). she killed

Funny how her name evokes all most as many responses as Lauryn Hill’s. I first heard about her in the Black Clubs in Indiana, that is how come I went out and bought her music.
