PHILADELPHIA -- Reclusive American painter Andrew Wyeth has died at his home in suburban Philadelphia. He was 91.That's according to Hillary Holland, a spokeswoman for the Brandywine River Museum.She says Wyeth died in his sleep at his house in Chadds Ford with his family by his side.Wyeth's paintings portrayed the people and landscapes of Pennsylvania's Brandywine Valley and coastal Maine.
Wyeth's paintings of clapboard seaside buildings and boats in motion represent Maine to millions familiar with his work.
