he did not have total support among Democrats ..

He didn't have the crossover appeal that Obama has, and anyway, JJ had strong competition - unlike the clown Obama was up against.

Actually he had lots of Crossover Appeal remember he had the Rainbow Coalition?
But his mouth got him in trouble in 1984 and this brother tried to sell Gaddafi Weapons after that so his 1988 Campaign was doomed as well.
Oh and he did went to become shadow Senator of DC...so it not like he had done badly.

With this alone it is a wonder Barack came out of the South Side to get the Presidency. I was so looking for the MSM to bring up the El Rukns Affair in the Primary and the Elections.

Have you heard of Larry Sinclair? He has written a book and claims to have had a homo relationship and took coke with a young Obama.
