Sex industry feeling economic pinch
As reported in the Monday Gleaner, the global economic crisis is affecting every sector of the economy and the sex industry has not been spared.
The story brought the news that investors and consumers in that industry have been feeling the pinch of the financial crisis. Owners of establishments that offer sexual services have been forced to come up with creative methods of staying afloat in a crumbling industry and consumers now have to spend wisely.
According to one businesswoman, her client base has severely fallen since the downturn of the economy and her weekly earnings have also suffered. When an industry like this that is set up primarily to provide fun, and entertainment and as a stress reliever is suffering, we know that things are really bad.
