Labour Minister still optimistic about overseas employment

Despite the global economic meltdown and predictions of worse to come, Labour Minister Pearnel Charles is optimistic that scores of Jamaicans will find work overseas.
On Thursday morning, Mr. Charles conceded that the country was grappling with high unemployment.
<span style="font-weight: bold">But he insisted that demand for Jamaican workers overseas remains high. </span>"We are fortunate that at a time in the world where the global demand for workers from Bahai to Ontario to Washington to China, <span style="font-weight: bold">if you are a trained Jamaican</span>,"
"You can go to Ministry of Labour Electronic Exchange Programme where employers are asked to say what they want and we are telling you what is available and you as a <span style="font-weight: bold">skilled worker</span>...we put you on," said Mr. Charles.
<span style="font-weight: bold">so one minit, di cry is dat we no ha no skilled workers a yaad...so wat skill is dis dat dis man is intent on pimping ..fi real....service industry and below minimum wage fi di workers...am really curious </span>
