Let me try to be nice:
# I am not defending the Nobel Peace Prize Committee. I don’t know their criterion for handing out these things, but it does seems from history that they are looking to current events.
#2 I am not defending Al Gore
#3 I am not trying to belittle the adventures of this Modern Day Harriet Tubman
All I am doing is to try to strike down this extremely nonsensical argument that pits Al Gore's winning of the Laureate against this lady's loss.

A. the Nobel Peace Prize entrants are not in competition with each other? It not a death match so to compare both Candidates is a fake analogy

B. to the question of whether Al did anything profound or earth saving, using the same metric you could say this lady did not either. She saved a few Jews from Hilter’s oven but many more perished. She did not bring about world peace and security because Al Gore still has to travel around with heavy security.

C. as to Al Gore not discover Global Warming neither did this lady discover saving the Jews. There have been many reports of selfless and heroic acts in WWII, especially in trying to prevent Hilter;s extermination plans from being realized to it fullest extent.

D. Given that Nobel Prize is basically rooted in current events that is of a global nature <span style="font-style: italic">(at least it is my opinion)</span>, I could see how they would give a prize to an Al Gore, for tackling one of the most pressing problems of our time, even if his ideas are eventually proven worthless. It would not be the first time ideas and discoveries that get huge billings turns out to be worthless. Maybe it time to evaluate giving Prizes and headlines to a few human beings out of the millions on this known earth, but the argument for one prize holder over another is non-issue.
