Traffic in busy Half-Way-Tree, St Andrew was reduced a crawl this morning after a Jamaica Broilers truck laden with matured chickens for slaughter overturned in the vicinity of the transport centre, leaving live and dead chickens, as well as feathers, and chicken filth strewn on South Odeon Avenue.
Police personnel at the scene told the Observer that there were no human casualties in the accident, which occurred just before 5:00 am. Police did, however, have to restrain persons on their way to work, who attempted to steal live chickens from the accident scene.

Half-Way-Tree Fire Brigade had to wash remnants from the scene while police redirected traffic to Eastwood Park Road and on to Constant Spring Road
