funny..how we're conditioned...the other day I was in a meeting and someone complained about having to do &quot;monkey work&quot; (<span style="font-style: italic">[i]yep that's why i started that post[/</span>i]) instead of managing as she's supposed to. When we left the meeting my colleague and I were discussing some remarks that were made during and (to make a long story short) she pointed out that the term &quot;monkey work&quot; could be considered offensive ...me&quot; ----&gt; &lt;---- why?&quot;.. because it was a generic remark..not aimed at black people.....my colleague pointed out that anyone performing the tasks deemed monkey work could be offended....

twas interesting how we both reacted to the phrase...

i would have been offended if she was doing the work i was doing and calling it monkey work.

i told my boss one time that im not writing up any detailed procedural documentation for a monkey to come do my job

no sah..wha she complaining bout way too techincal fe me.. .i personally would not consider it monkey work..cause its by no means brainless and is critical to her company's operating environment
