Halle's boyfriend is moving beyond racial streotypes in the society and seeing the beauty in a truly wonderful woman.

I don't oppose interracial marriage. I have always been in favour of a level playing field. What mi lick out 'gainst is de Black men who ONLY date women of other races and the White men who refuse to even consider a Black woman no matter what she has to offer.

Remember, it is typically the man who reaches out and initiates the relationship. The woman has to wait to be chosen. Given the fact that there is a severe shortage of Black men, I am more inclined to support interracial relationships involving Black women than those involving Black men. I am not opposed to either though.

No bigup the White men who are able to move beyong societal brainwashing and stereotypes and see the beauty in Black women. Fiyah pon de Black men who fall into the stereotypes and ONLY date women who aren't Black. It's also a case of numbers. Even if all Black man in America married only Black women. There STILL would not be enough partners fo rall of the Black women. Some Black women will have to marry outside their race or be stuck on their own. Currently in America 70% of Black women are not married. That is nothing short of pathetic and tragic.

The trends are similar here. There is certain data we don't collect here but walking around there seem to be an awful lot of single Black women here. Not sure what the percentage would be. We are inundated with USA media, advertising, etc. so the thinking (read that as brainwashing) is pretty similar.

Here is the equally pathetic Canadian equivalent. We don't collect or break down the data in the same way as our American counterparts. So I am not able to say what percentage of Black women in Canada are single. Trust me, it's high:

How in the world would it be possible for 70% of Black women in America and a large percentage of Black women in Canada and the UK to be &quot;single by choice&quot;? Human beings naturally crave companionship. To accept what you are proposing would be equivalent to saying that 70% of Black women in America are not normal. FEW women are single by choice. Do you think that Black women in America would have the highest rate of new AIDS cases as a result of &quot;settling&quot; for inappropriate companions rather than no companions if they were &quot;single by choice&quot;. There are exceptions but for the most part when women say they are single by choice it is to cover up the pain and humiliation of not being able to find a partner.
