Air Jamaica has announced the strengthening of the Fort Lauderdale route.
The airline said this is being done in the face of the discontinuation of its Jamaica to Miami route.
Air Jamaica's decision to discontinue the Miami route has raised eyebrows, but the management defended its action by saying it was not as profitable as the Fort Lauderdale leg.
Now, the airline says as of Thursday, it will adjust its departure times to Fort Lauderdale to make it more convenient for passengers.
This it says will allow South Florida passengers to have flexible and easy access to Miami.
Departure times from Kingston will be 6:30 in the mornings, 12:30 in the afternoons, and 6:20 and 8:05 in the evenings.
Air Jamaica said the change in schedule will give passengers the option of same day return.
