While we have been discussing interracial relationships I havent seen any discussions on inter-national ones.
By international I am referring to a Bajan marrying a Trini.
When I was growing up there was some conservativeness on marrying someone from your own island at the same time the men were even travelling to other islands just to find a wife. But then again while the men were allowed socially, it was a shame for a woman to go with a man from another island.
So I was thinking a few days back whether an international relationship carries the same stigma as interracial relationships.
Do these men find these other islanders a superior class of women? ...and all the same things one might say of a black man marrying a white woman
