i guess it's been great for white women;
but it has spawned entire generations of young black girls who now belive they have a birth defect because they weren't born with straight long luxurious blonde hair;
for them i have to hot up the fire...
and career women are great, but so are women who are at home taking care of their families
i'm not muslim and never condoned wearing of burkas;

perms & jheri curls in black men was popular up until after the 1980's when it died down...skin bleaching a gwaan still though;
so to answer you question- yes;
there is enough self-hate to go around without our children worshipping someone else's concept of beauty and progress
sorry to attack your beloved barbie...but no one is saying she is the 'sole' thing responsible; just one in a line of many- i wouldn't even pin it on madame cj walker either---she just made it possible for some to do what was already in their hearts..the real culprit was slavery, brainwashing & propoganda;

You cannot be serious. Do you know how many little black girls wanted hair and eyes like barbie just cause of the stupid doll?
