'Real Housewives' star arrested for assault, denies charges

"Real Housewives of New York City" star Kelly Killoren Bensimon was arrested last week for misdemeanor assault.
The 40-year-old reality star's boyfriend Nicholas Stefanov told police <span style="font-weight: bold">that she punched him in the face, Ne</span>w York's Daily News reports.
In a criminal complaint obtained by the Daily News, <span style="font-weight: bold">Stefanov claimed that Bensimon hit him and caused a laceration below his left eye.</span>
<span style="font-style: italic">The TV star turned herself in on Thursday two days after the alleged incident.</span>
"The allegations are by a jilted lover saying she struck him during the course of an argument," Bensimon's attorney Stephen Turano tells the paper. "We deny the charges, and we are hopeful this will be resolved."
<span style="font-style: italic">Stefanov told the Daily News he's still in love with the reality show star, and blames his girlfriend's violent action on the pressure of the show.</span>
Bensimon is due back in court on March 31, says the Daily News.
