Would anyone know how to start a non profit organization in Jamaica? I would like to start one for the children in my parrish. I actually live in the US and the organization would be based out of Jamaica.

You will probably need a lawyer to start a non-profit in Jamaica. It may also be a disadvantage as donations and goods collected will not be tax deductible for US residents if it is a Jamaican non-profit. From past experiences with the charity we work we do at Jamaicans.com I highly recommend working with a established charity in your home country that has link with an established charity in Jamaica.

I would like to the organization in Santa Cruz. I would like to have a set-up for all children not just the ones in school. It would have to be all volunteers since the only funds would go towards the facilitating the building. I would like to incorporate a study room with a few computers and books, a room with some televisions and games, monthly workshops, counseling, and some other stuff.
