I think he looks fantastic considering the the time and circumstances. He def doesn't look quite as crazy in the eyes as the '68 picture.
Yes that is a swaztika on his forhead, he carved it on shortly after his sentence began if I recall correctly

As a matter of fact, if he had been sentenced to death and he had appealed his sentence, the cost of his 'upkeep' in prison for all these years would pale in comparison to the cost of executing him, say, ten years after he was convicted. We discussed this in a thread a few weeks ago on this board.
