I don't know if this book about "Daddy Sharpe" as he was affectionately called, is 100% fact or partially fictionalized but here is a summary that deals with your question:

you are right,those terms in themselves tells us how black people view themselves in todays societies,in slavery days both house and field slaves were precisely that,people who worked in the fields,and people who worked in the house,those terms were merely used to describe or show job description,I very much doubt if those terms were used in derogatory terms. </div></div>That is not exactly true.ther was a diustinct dufference. Any slave could be a firld slave,but only trusted slaves worked in th ehouse. those slaves were not just presented with trust. they had to earn it. they have to be tested,and prioven to be on the side of bacra to be allowed in the house,cooking and tending the hoise,with the master being able to sleep without wondering if he is going to be murdered.
they have to show bias towards what is good for the master. It was a bug difference.
incidentally workers that wirk in the homes are still evaluated different from those who work in the field,irrespective of race.

In every case of febellion/ revolution,it is always the ones closest to power that have been most efective at makinf it a success.
The field negroes are always trying to get the house negroes to hel the revolutin. In some casee they tell the bosses.

Don't know where in the world you got THAT idea. It's a little too late in our history to have racial purity. It's not possible. I have ALWAYS said that I have nothing against interracial dating or marriage. It is the lack of a level playing field mi ALWAYS lick out 'gainst. Black men being at an advantage...Black women being at a disadvantage....White women especially blondes having most of the advantage dat just noh right.
