Couple murdered in Red Hills

The Cypress Drive community in Red Hills, St. Andrew was rocked by a double murder on Monday morning.
Gunmen slaughtered a married couple in their home in the area overnight.
The bodies of the woman and that of her husband were discovered by police on Monday morning.
The names of the victims have not yet been released, but it is reported they were both shot.
The woman was said to be a Nurse and a Lecturer at the University of Technology, UTECH, while the husband was reportedly an accountant with PetroJam Limited.
The couple's two children, who were also reportedly in the house while the crime unfolded, were unharmed.
The police, who are still processing the crime scene, surmise the gunmen gained access to the home through a window.
While all the details are not yet clear, investigators also believe the killings occurred around three in the morning.
The couple's bedroom was ransacked, however, the police are not yet certain that robbery was the motive for the killings.
One of the bodies was reportedly found blocking the front door.
An alarm was reportedly raised by the children, who telephoned neighbours and relatives for help after the shooting.
