Yes, I'm aware of the strategy of 'divide and conquer' and it is almost as old as time itself. But I can't use it to rationalize the brutality meeted out to blacks at the hands of fellow blacks. There is more going here than simply ignorance of others to divide and destroy.

It's easy to conflate tribal, ethnic and various intra-national conflicts with the reality of black on black murders in Jamaica (which I believe is the original point of this thread), but we should keep perspective. Your point is that these poor people are simply ignorant of the 'grand strategy' to divide, and then destroy, them. And so I ask: if these poor souls should suddenly come to a knowledge/realization of what's going on, black on black crime would immediately disappear? I would posit that these perpetrators of black on black violence are well aware of racism and its legacy.

Dr dudd,with all due respect I think you have a tendency to stray away from the issue under discussion by bringing up issues in other countries,....I`m sure we all agree that this is a jamaican discussion board and the issue is about jamaica,we cant solve world issues without even tackling ours first.

Is the same way I tackle treating patients.
I have to identify the problem, by recoginizing it elswhere in other patients. \you canlt treat patients as if th eproblem is unique to them.
Just as you can't deal with a problem in Jamaica inless you are able to recognize it in other cases. Unless we are not intrested in a sloution.
The reason why we have not been able to deal with Jamaica's problem is because we are fooled into believeing that it is unique to Jamaica.
so we havce to invent the wheel to solve it. as a trsult we resolve that we can't solve oit beciase ot is too unique and ther is no sloution to it.

Not really...
I propose legally arming th ehenerl population to bring back civility to th ecountry,in th ecase of crime.
But i propose for economic stymulation, creating large resoviors that catch water fironh th etimes of drought to irrigate the lands during the periods when ther is no rains.

I prppose unemploymeny insurance to maintain the GDP of the cointry duroing the volitile periods.
i propose Increasing the insurance on deposits in th ebanks to US$100,000,while payoing a 1/2 % less to attract foreign cirrency ddeposits, as a solution to the devaluation of the Jamaican dollar.
So it is not just armung of the people I am prposinng.
