Remember my rant a few years ago about people who just can't be quiet in the morning when others are sleeping? I mentioned that there are people who insist on slamming doors, talking loud, fumbling around with pots and pans and scrambling around in the bathroom as if others are not in the house with them. Well, I had an experience on top of that experience.
One person was up early and decide to make breakfast. They turned on the water in the kitchen sink to the highest level so you could hear the water beating against the bottom of the sink. Then there was the fumbling with the pots, the noise of things frying, the loud mumbling because they could not find certain ingredients and the forcing of things into the garbage can which just so happened to have a plastic container for a cake in it so you could hear all the crackling. Pure noise. Well, when one of the kids in the house got up and asked to do something, this was the reply:
"No, people are still sleeping and that's too much noise."
So of course, I was instantly reminded of this cartoon:
