I'm not really sure Neutral, but I do know their focus on Jamaica is misguided UNLESS they could provide evidence that any gay tourist has been attacked for being gay.

1)Much of the US is anti-gay and has in fact passed anti-gay legislation. I mean not only not allow gay rights but went to the extent to pass anti-gay rights legislation.

2)We have a huge problem in this country, in DC and other places with HIGH rates of hiv/aids in gay black men. It's an epidemic in DC and other cities(they say DC has a higher hiv rate than any place anywhere, including some places in Africa, and that's amongst the gay black males here).

I could go on and on,there are much more pressing issues. Why they don't just work with gay/lesbian groups in JA and other said nations I don't know.

I don't think their focus was on gay tourists, but on the plight of the local homosexuals.

Also, are you sure the &quot;anti&quot; should be before the gay rights legislation?

There are more pressing issues than most of the problems we face daily, yet we ask for people to resolve them. The fact that the world has more pressing issues doesn't mean you have to tackle them in that order, or even one at a time.

Finally, if you bothered to read the thread before you posted, you would have seen where I gave examples of them working with local organizations in the countries they try to help. The example was giving money to the iraq organizations.

But I guess it's OK to speculate rather than investigate because it makes us feel comfortable thinking that the gays are selfish and stupid

Maybe you think gays are selfish and stupid, I surely don't and I don't know where you got that from!

My point was in them claiming JA was the most homophobic place on earth etc when if that were true gay tourists would be under threat and never have been. If that were true there could not be many many gays and lesbians living in JA incident free as there are.</span>
