men that ware willing to go hundreds pf miles on the ocean to hyjack vessels and hol them for ransome, are not as easy as that to deterr.
They are not going to say, Oh, the US has the biggest military. They know that it does not take the biggest military to kill them. and any day is as good as any other to die. They will not stop until they are stopped. They will not astop what they are doing until then either.

Well,as far as I know the pirates are convinced their actions are legitimate because it is *their* waters,and their livehood has all but disappeared because of the interruptions to their traditional fishing grounds by large outside interests that doesnt care about them.

What I suspect though is that the US will now dishonestly claim that the pirates are hijacking ships to fund &quot;terrorism&quot;,that way they can justify the illigitimate use of force that they will bring against these guys.

So I hear this morning that the lifeboat is starting to drift toward Somalia's cost. If they are able to reach shore then the rag tag set of pirates will have defeated the most powerful navy in the world.
