Four Chinatown/Kensington area restaurants have reopened but one remains closed after city health inspectors discovered disturbing evidence of rodent infestations and other unsanitary conditions.
The businesses were all within blocks of each other near Dundas St. W. and Baldwin St.
Toronto Public Health cited them with a list of infractions, but local business groups maintain they are on top of the problem.
"Recently we have formed a committee dealing strictly with the health issues and particularly working with the health department in order to make the restaurants...better and cleaner for everyone," notes Tony Louie, Chinatown B.I.A.</div></div>
