Reggae singer Luciano had his $60,000 bail extended when he appeared before the Half Way Tree Criminal Court in St. Andrew Thursday morning to answer to a charge of harbouring a fugitive.
Luciano, whose given name is Jepther McClymont, was charged last month by detectives at the Half-Way-Tree Police Station following a shooting at his studio on Westminster Crescent in St. Andrew.
Police stormed the complex in search of a man they say was wanted.
The man, Andrew Senior, was killed and three police officers injured during a reported shoot-out.
Investigators alleged that Luciano knew of Mr. Senior's background and harboured him as part of his security team.
However, at a press conference a week ago, Luciano, while acknowledging that he knew Mr. Senior, said he did not know that he was wanted by the police, nor did he employ him as his personal body guard.
The artist is to return to Court on June 18.
