these aren't exactly celebrities, but....
Back in the day...I was sitting in a crowded ski area bar in Idaho waiting for friends, when this older guy (relatively)and his gal came up and asked if they could sit down. I said (kinda gruffly)"yeah, but only till my frens show up". They had a drink and left. Another guy came over to the table afterward and asked me if I knew who they were (Of course I didn't) and told me it was Buzz Aldren...the guy who walked on the moon.
About two weeks later we were sitting in the local "dive bar" celebrating one of my roomates 21st b-day, when the bartender told us we would have to leave our booth to make room for some senator from Wyoming who was going to show up with his entourage. I protested to no avail.
When the dude arrived, I took the first opportunity to point out to him that his "slumming escapade outside of his constituancy" had displaced a fine young lady during her "coming of age" celebration. He walked over to her immediately and profusely apologized, and bought us drinks. heh, heh. Score!

I imagine he would be instantly recognisable in a white suit, big boots and space helmet...
