
A 24-year old man on Sunday succumbed to injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision in St. Elizabeth on Saturday.
Richard Constantine of Watchwell was riding his motorcycle in a funeral procession along the Barbary Hall road about 4pm when the procession came to a sudden stop.
The driver of the hearse attempted to move out of the line of vehicles and in the process, hit the motorcycle.
Mr. Constantine fell forward under a truck that was travelling in front of him and sustained injuries to his head and body.
He died at the Black River Hospital Sunday morning.
His death brings to 19 the number of deaths from road crashes in St. Elizabeth since the start of the year.
About 5am Sunday, persons travelling on the Bull Savannah main road found the body of Caniel Allen, 21, stuck behind the steering wheel of a white Toyota Corolla station wagon.
