a jamaican doctor in the states..who had a very sick relative in ja (young girl w/ a heart condition who eventually passed) said it was all about the money...there were times when the medical staff would not move until they saw the money (this was after the insurance ran out)

cant believe bout them talking ppl's illness out loud! U know how we as a ppl secretive/conservative areddy! Mussbe only mentally ill ppl them can do that to, cuz they feel they not gonna cuss them out for doing that. Mi go hospital last yr go look fi mi fren an mi coulda bayly hear wah she a say as she explain wat carry har to the hospital Mi did feel fi say &quot;OPIN U mout ooman, atta nutn nuh wrang wid u mout&quot;. But I steady held my tongue caw maybe she neyna talk loud cuz she feel say har breat stink. Or mighbe she did have teeth problems Jcan ppl very quiyat bout health man.

Mi nuh mind surgery, if them competent. I guess ppl have to wait if them nuh have $ to go a private doc and get immediate attn if the situation is drastic enough? But wouldnt certain extreme cases be prioritized, even if there is a wait list? A suh oonu dweet a Canada too? If the list long, ppl just haffi wait and if them nuh dead by time them name call, then praises be?

What I question is the post-surgery process too tho. She stuck w/ the same docs throughout, but were they monitoring for the thing to pop up elsewhere? Isnt there a usual procedure for radiation chemo or supm right after depending on size of mass and one whole heap a odda factors?

This is the question mi want oonu ansa DWL. I would imagine records of deceased would fall out of the privacy ting. Even if the docs nuh want opin up dem draw, maybe some anecdotal type info would have to gather first before a more powerful source could mandate further investigation. Mi nuh know. wat oonu think?

Another angle could be to do a study of a certain disease, and solicit their help in reviewing cases to do case studies/research or some fawtige. Wah bout that?


Also, smaddy mention the $ ting. That is so true. This lady say she nuh get no ends a reminder fi pay pay di docta man dem. And she feel like dem did jus pass har round between the network a friends

The treatment regime in jamaica is different from the US due to cost and affortabolloty.
Surgery+ ahemo , or radiation + chemp. jamaixa cannot afford the Chemo part. The docs do much better than Us in th eUS taking into consideration that Jamaica still achieve a mortality rate of only 2 years less than the US with all the expensive intervention.
