<span style="color: #000066">If the immigration officer had asked me for foreign address and ID, I too would have merely complied. In this case I was asked to step out of the line, and re-do the immigration form using the foreign address, claiming that I was a visitor. Then I had to wait while many others passed me by, on their way out of the airport.

From I have sense, I know citizenship to imply that ONE is not a visitor, unless one sees oneself as such, even if one has been away for a hundred years.

I have a relation who has been out of Jamaica for more than forty years, was a soldier in the army overseas for most of those years, and had visited Jamaica a few times only, spoke with a distinctly non-Jamaican accent, married a non-Jamaican, and was still allowed a Jamaican passport.

Some'n not right...

I disagree and bad analogy... Automobile was designed to transport, a gun was designed to transport people also?...where it transporting you to......Dovecot?? Gun designed for one thing to project a small metalic object at high velocity

STEPHEN Fray, the 21-year-old Jamaican man who held passengers on a chartered CanJet airline hostage, was yesterday described as well-mannered, extremely sociable and from a good family.

The son of entrepreneurs Earl and Dawn Fray, he was pursuing studies at the Montego Bay Community College in St James, with the hope of attending university later this year. He previously attended Mount Alvernia Preparatory School and the prestigious Cornwall College, an all-boys high school in Montego Bay.

On the social website Hi5, Fray was described by a young woman as &quot;the quiet one out of the bunch&quot;.

She wrote: &quot;He is easy to talk to and fun to be around. not to mention super sweet. I always find myself smiling when I am around him.&quot;

She also described Fray as a kind-hearted person.
Fray has two older siblings - a brother and a sister. His parents are separated.

When it emerged early yesterday morning that it was Fray who was involved in the hostage drama, there was disappointment among people in the western city.

&quot;We were all shocked when we discovered who the alleged hijacker was,&quot; said a well-known Montego Bay resident who declined to give her name.

1: Lock it away from wife and children regardless of age if they are not trained to use it properly and respect it; and children not of legal age to use it.

2: Precisely as you say what's the point having the gun at home if you can't trust family members who aren't trained to use it responsibly.


I guess like the police women it should be left loaded with bullets under a pillow for any member to use. I have personally stopped friends while growing up in jamaica from getting their dad's gun to harm someone they had a little beef wid. Seen guys got shot with parents gun because the teenage children display responsibility in front of their parents and behind their back like most kids do display the total opposite. I have even seen suys carry their dad's gun to school to show other friends and carry it to high school phets to brandish and show-off. These guys are not from the ghetto... they are stealing their dad's licensed guns living in areas like jacks hill, queens hill &amp; redhills, beverhills, cherry gardens, stony hills. This is no fiction this is REAL!!!

You don't always know what your children is up to until something fatal goes wrong - case in point loaded gun under pillow. I bet that police women told the children not to touch it. It is not a toy. Don't play wid it or else. Leave it. Thought she had it well hidden but as she turn her back...

You cannot compare guns with vehicles LOL... apples and oranges.
