Shake-up in the senior ranks of the Police High Command</span>

There has been a shake-up in the upper ranks of the Police High Command.
RJR News understands that Owen Ellington has been appointed to the post of Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations, Crime and Security.
DCP Ellington replaces <span style="font-weight: bold">Mark Shields whose contract was not renewed.</span>
In the meantime, several members of the police force are to take up new assignments on Monday as part of the police force's effort to strengthen its crime fight capability.
Superintendent McArthur Sutherland is to take up his assignment on Monday as deputy head of the Organised Crime Division.
Crime chief for the St. Andrew South Police Division, Deputy Superintendent Michael Phipps is to take over as crime chief for the St. Andrew Central Police Division.
DSP Karl Malcolm will be moving from St. Thomas to take up his post as Crime chief for the St. Andrew South Police Division.
DSP Norman Hamilton will be moving from Organised Crime to take over the crime portfolio in St. Thomas.
Other changes in the force are expected next month.
Head of the West Kingston Police Division Superintendent Delroy Hewitt is expected to be transferred to Mobile Reserve next month.
