DETROIT -- Detroit police said a 57-year-old woman was shot inside her home on the city's west side Tuesday.
The victim's daughter, who is a Detroit police officer, told Local 4 the woman saw two teens breaking into her neighbor's home, which is in the 17500 block of Huntington Street.
When the teens noticed the woman watching them through her window, a single shot was fired into the living room, the victim's daughter said.
Police and the woman's daughter said she was only grazed by the bullet because the underwire in her bra helped stop the bullet.
Police said they are looking for three black men between 16 and 18 years old. They were seen leaving in a burgandy Dodge Neon.
