And how long did the peace last ????

Then it spead like a hydra out.... Demonstrating entertainers are entertainers not peace makers... Yeah for a moment there was peace and the party gun men bestrode the stage giving them a seat at the table through the open acceptance.... Before that it was hidden.. then they gained legitimasy...

It was simply a concert... Manley and Seaga were still having weekly meetings.... And Seaga recepriocated after the 83 elections when there was no oppostion. He met manley on a weekly basis unoffically.

why did dem try kill Bob.. ???? The roumour was the caymanas park ting, im touch ah man ooman....

as for theives one wonders how the wailers now feel about Marley .....

no the peace didn't last long...
there was no peace to begin with; all of them or most of them now dead;
if we the children can't learn from our foreparents then we don't deserve the beautiful island called the rock;
even as others stealing it right under our noses...
i don't know why they invaded bob marleys home with his family there and fired deadly missiles, that is for them to reconcile with their god or devil...
neither do i know how the wailers feel about marley;

what i do know is that they tried to open our eyes but we have descended into an orgy of devil worship;

to my elders &amp; prophets i got love everytime

I always thought that you can have equal rights but it is pointless without jusctice... I think old pete called it in his rant at the one love universal justice.... jusctice has in inself to imply equal rights... as jusctice is absolute then it cannot function without equal rights.... just me being pedantic...

I recall that I could not listen to it on the radio as we had no betteries in our radio.... but I need to ask was it well organised ? did it start on time ????

Bob et al led the world pop stars and gave them an inflated sence of their own importance because of that concert... Just me making my ascarbic remarks.. But it did demonstrate our jamaican sense both the triumph and the tragedy. I bleieve that two got shot on the night.. wounded not ded.. Still at the time It was verwied by he so called opnion makers with some skeptism.. and with the same sense of that people who are killing each otehrs are not us... And tahat same sense remains.. the inability to identiy with the victims as if they are the cause of their pown troubles is at the center of our disfunction..

All too often on here I get the sense that there are too many protosufferas and few who expereicned poverty in its full glory in Jamaica...

they were my elders who decided to put aside their differences for the benefit of the small man;
this was a dangerous concept to the big man dem who profit by the ignorance &amp; violence of ghetto yutes;
my likkle school friends from jungle &amp; waterhouse glamorized &amp; aspired to be like...
i respect their gesture- of course they were all murdered and i'm not sure its coincidence
