Actress Bea Arthur dies at 86

Felt a pang when my daughter told me yesterday. Loved her in Maude and in Golden Girls. Ironically, she was older than the woman who played her mother in GG, Estelle Getty, who died earlier this year or late last year.

Bea Arthur was great in <span style="font-style: italic">Maude </span>and <span style="font-style: italic">The Golden Girls</span>. I used to love the theme song to <span style="font-style: italic">Maude</span>.

Lady Godiva was a freedom rider.
She didn't care if the whole world looked.

Joan of Arc with the Lord to guide her,
