nuttin fool fool about it. They have all the info they need, they're doing the samething america does. It's called protectionism and all they're doing is using this as an excuse to ban the prok imports. I hope they go through with it.

by laws created by the WTO, Jamaica and other countries have to import certain products from certain nations (all european btw [including the us and canada]). The same laws or rules they are under is the same thing like how canada has to give their oil, lumber, water, electricity to the US.

Jamaica has to import tomatoes, stones from canada, apples, peppers all kinds of foolisness that we grow ourselves. Then what they do is inflate the prices of what they sell to us and deflate what we (jamaica) send to them.

Those who are promoting loan forgiveness as the solution,are only the other side of the proverbial 'good cop/bad cop strategy.
They let you think they are non your side,but they are only making sure you don't go for the real solution.

No amount of loan forgiveness will correct this. Only a new world economic policy.

Well then they MUST use this swine flue thing to ban pork imports and find a way to make it PERMANENT. Jamaica is more than capable of producing enough pork to feed it self screw the WTO and the IMF

They can't get out of it as long as they owe money to the WB and IMF and who ever else.
These are parts of the agreements. If they default then the bond holder get natural resources, land, water, whatever of value they choose.

Trenton </div></div>pork is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg.
If that is the strategy, they wil have to do so with everything the country can produce,and also expect the prices of those they can't to be increased astronomically to compensate for the loss of profit from those they can't sell to Jamaica. It's a complex process, that needs much planning and skills to correct.
It has to be appropriately dealt with at the political level. But ther must be givernment leaders that are prepared to do iut. They have to be prepared to be treated like Mugabwe too. that is how hard it is.
the developed world wil not give up on what they want to do simply because of such actions by some thrid world country.
They use every tool include the international media to smear leaders, without even discussing the real problem. They use other created stoiries to weaken the leaders. That is how it goes.
