HELP Jamaica! Charity Launch:
HELP Jamaica! stands for Help Establish Library Projects in Jamaica! and is a registered non profit organization based in Germany. HELP Jamaica aspires to build libraries and education centers in needy communities in Jamaica. Free access to books and computers, skilled and caring staff to help learn and establish reading and computer skills are a necessity for success in school and life and help to encourage creativity, talent, hope, ambition and excellence. We believe in inspiration and qualification as a means to break the circle of frustration! Unity for a Cause 2009 - Education is the Key! Due to various activities and private donations HELP Jamaica! was able to secure financial funding amounting to more than 2.000.000 $JA during the first half year of existence just in Germany alone, which we used mainly to support the Trenchtown Reading Centre! With our international network of supporters we are now approaching the step of building our first own center in the community of 'Cassava Piece' in Kingston.
We have recently founded a local partner organization in Jamaica and we are delighted to celebrate this major step with an exceptional launch event on Saturday May 30th 2009 in Kingston’s popular hotspot Weekenz, Constant Spring Rd 80:

The venue “Weekenz”, Jamaica’s first-class-soundsystems, veterans and today’s finest artists come together and lend their full support towards an outstanding all-day-charity event with kids treat and soundsystem showcase as a demonstration of unity and dedication from the music fraternity to independent education projects in Jamaica:
