It is something disgraceful where my family lives. The sounds even compete in volume, and this is all thru the night on a Saturday night. I really don't know how the elderly stand it, when most have to be up for church the next day. My friend's grandmother said that anyone who complains is just asking for trouble. It is such a lack of respect that the thought of it makes me sick.

I have a lot of sympathy for your peoples...This noise thing is out of order for far too long...
This attitude has fossilised in place, noise is acceptable.. anything that compalins against this order is seen as figjht against the peoples.. An attitude of intolerance toward any one who does not conform to this appriciation of dance hall..
I recall last year having this discussion with a guy about to retire back home.. His mother is still alive and so are a couple of garn uncles.... And the sound of competing &quot;lawns&quot; is ridiulous..... This is not in the city but deep in teh country... the disfance that the effect of the sound is felt is greater as there is less structures to dampen the sound...

My complaint was given that the noise would prevent children sleeping this is hardly conduscive to education...

I always thought that the so called consious artists seen unconsiois when it comes to the effect on the young and the elderly.. Even Bob.. who wanted to &quot;blow them to full watts tonight&quot;..

I think the churches for once should embrase this as an issue.. As it affects a great proportion of those in their constuients..

Thanks all for the feedback so far. I have emailed Tarrant Baptist Church (TBC Radio) saying almost the same thing as Wahalla. Last night the nearest jerk played a flute (which he obviously can't play) over his PA System. It was extremely annoying. Speaking of the children and the elderly, they seem to reserve the most obscene noises for daybreak when these the most vulnerable in our society are preparing for church or school.

If you are not prepared to follow these instructions as outlined then you are not prepared to live in peace...

On the other hand if you do follow these instructions I expect you will be leaving Jamaica in short order.
