do you think people who need new organs because alchohol/drugs have taken their toll on the on the old ones should receive new ones?

Natalie cole is in this situatation..she has hepatitis c (caused by drug use) she believes the interferon they used to treat her caused her kidneys to fail. She now needs a new kidney.

i remember 60 minutes doing an exposee on &quot;papa&quot; john philipps' drinking after his liver transplant. he didn't even put down the drinks to evade their questions

guess your tolerance level would decrease significantly with a new liver?

She was on Larry King Live a few weeks back discussing this.
Larry asked her if she should get priority given the fact that she did on her circumstances with the drug usage.
she said she didnt feel that she should get more priority, but she didnt feel like she should be given less (or something such).

well you know of course that the outpouring of people trying to help her as a result of the show....

No not everyone. Why waste a good organ on someone like say, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Daumer?

After all, Jefferey himself didn't believe in wasting ah good organ when he could just as easily eat it.
